Finishes and Reds

I have finally finished a gradation quilt and a wedding quilt.  Both quilts are late but hopefully they won't mind.  I need to get them delivered so they can be enjoyed.

The graduation quilt is an Irish chain.

The wedding quilt is a barn raising pattern.

Here are my REDS for this month's rainbow color.

I See Red

I haven't participated in Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2015 for awhile.  The rainbow color for July is Red.  Mina at Kinda Quilty has inspired me to make more house blocks.  Last year I made some houses but I wasn't sure how I would finish them into a quilt.  Thanks to seeing Mina's house quilt I am determined to make a house quilt.

I now have 24 house blocks and need at least that many more.  Cutting more house blocks will be on my to do list.

I did have fun making this crayon holder.  The pattern is simple.  Thanks Sharon for the inspiration to make them.  I will make more for gifts.
